“The failure to uplift our youth is the same as consenting to the fall of our country.” Andrey Ivanov (Son, Servant, Leader of FlashLove.Org)

Andrey Ivanov was born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1984. Five short years later, his family immigrated to America during the collapse of the Soviet Union. He’s the third of thirteen children born to incredible parents who gave them a life and a future against many odds. Being raised in America was a gift long before he realized it. And as time went on, Andrey, like many of his immigrant peers, began to sink into this world's mud and its distractions. He’s always daydreamed as a kid, imagining heroic acts he’s one day be a part of, but year after year the world would sink its teeth, like a bulldog’s death grip on his fading hope and future.  In his mid twenties, among his focus on accomplishments and the noise of parties, he began to ask himself the questions like, “Who am I?  Why am I alive? What's the purpose of this life, as I see so many live short lives and die?  Do my actions even matter in the grand scheme of things or is this all for nothing?” Through his parents' relentless prayers, much distress and his surrender, he finally dedicated his life back to Jesus and accepted His cross in life. Andrey fell on his knees and said, “I'm all in my King, SEND ME!”
Flash Love started in 2013 with the purpose of putting youth on a mission. They could see the pain rising, as destruction and chaos were breaking out across the country. Senseless violence was occurring at the hands of our youth. It costs $588 per day or $214,620 per year to keep ONE child in Juvenile Detention and you're "donating" to that cause with your taxes. (justicepolicy.org)

While the country turned their backs on a clear cry for help, condemning the youth to a general and awful label, they asked a different question. "What would our world look like, if instead of condemning their bad behavior, we poured love into them and set their hearts on a mission, much greater than themselves?"  We live in a country, where the 3rd leading cause of death for children between 10-14 is suicide.  We live in a world where passing a test is more important, than learning to provide for your family. Thus, leaving 32 percent of American families struggling and too desperate to provide more than the basic needs for their children. While many saw a crisis, they saw an opportunity for change.

And so, Flash Love began. They started small by helping single mothers who had been evicted by moving their things. They began cleaning up yards of the elderly, chopping firewood, and helping our community in any way they could.  However, after a while, they were inundated with message after message, from the single mothers in our community, asking for help in raising their boys into men. It was a call they chose to answer and that is how their Bratiya program began. Bratiya stands for Brothers. Their mission was to find the best-hearted men that could pour into these little boys and mentor them.

After a few successful rounds, many of these young boys became young men, who had outgrown the age range for our program, but wanted more. They were hungry to keep helping their community. This time, FlashLove expanded into a project called High School Revolution, where guys and girls from high schools could participate in city-wide cleanup events and compete for prizes. Delivering Christmas trees and groceries to families who couldn't afford much, to cleaning up the city and feeding the homeless. Our youth and volunteers poured their hearts into our communities.

Now, they are expanding again. In 2020, they evolved their youth training course into “The Spartan Challenge”. Every step of the way, our community has supported their growth through financial efforts or spending their valuable time serving with them. This expansion, is less about adding a new program, but instead about curating a new way of life for our youth. “Imagine a place, where we set Jesus at the center of our lives, we teach our youth to do the same and from there, we build them into leaders.”

FlashLove also created a Timber Frame home building program, so they could build skills and earn credits for their own homes.  They work with young entrepreneurs, by building connections with many business owners.  They have fitness programs, where they tackle obesity and mediocrity by creating champions.  “Imagine a program, where our youth are trusted to manage teams and in being trusted, they step up to the plate, because they are needed and have a purpose. They clean streets, parks and remove graffiti. They build relationships and love on the people.”

Now, FlashLove has finally closed the loop by launching a Timber Frame building solution to address our national housing crises. They are prepared to buy out farmlands and create sustainable micro farm communities for families to have a stable and truly affordable way of life.  They teach home building, agriculture, trades and even high-tech manufacturing.  They take logs from the burnt Oregon forests, repurpose them and mill out valuable lumber. Thus, solving real needs with a tangible process to share resources and knowledge.  Now, we all have an opportunity to partner in creating truly affordable living spaces, grow healthy food locally and experience the freedom and healing of our nation, one heart at a time!

God has given Andrey an assignment to care for the widows and orphans. “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble and to keep oneself unspotted from the world”. James 1:27 “Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy.” Psalms 82:3

“We have the means to care for and house every man, woman and child across our nation!  The question is, are we willing to believe the possibilities?  Are we going to limit God to our own unbelief? Or are we going to stand together and move as one family to accomplish greatness for humanity, heal our land and honor Jesus?!!!”
